Summer Staff Scholarships
Camp Bighorn will offer a $1000 scholarship to individuals for every year that they have served on our summer volunteer team before their time in Journey, up to a total of $2000. These individuals will have the scholarship immediately credited to their tuition, half applying to the first semester cost, and half applying to the second semester.
Matching Church Scholarships
If a church gives money to help pay for a student’s tuition, Camp Bighorn will match that amount up to $1000. Half of the scholarship will be applied to the first semester’s tuition and half will be applied to the second semester’s.
The Journey schedule is extremely full, so it won’t be possible for a student to have a job during the program. However there will be a break starting from the week of Thanksgiving through the New Year, providing space for students to return home and find a seasonal job. This, combined with a summer job, can go a long way in helping to pay for the year.
You are choosing to invest a year of your life into deepening the foundation of your faith in Christ and learning to serve him. That is a cause worth supporting! We encourage you to consider asking others to financially support you to help pay for this investment. Each Bighorn staff member is paid entirely through fundraising, so we know what it’s like.
