Lead. Serve. Grow.
Join the Summer Staff volunteer crew at Camp Bighorn! Leading as Summer Staff is a rewarding experience that many return to year after year. Volunteers stay in either dorms or cabins, and are led through two weeks of training, covering areas like equipment safety, rescue procedures and leadership. Once completing staff training, you will be trusted to lead adventures, empower campers and serve throughout camp. Applications now available through May 4, 2020.Apply Now
Must be 14 years or older by Staff Training on June 5th
Staff must give clear evidence of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and demonstrate dedication and spiritual maturity by a daily walk of faith and obedience.
Good Physical Health
Volunteers must be in good physical health and are required to fill out and sign our medical release form if accepted.
Attitudes and Personal Habits
It is essential that staff be able to work happily with others and be willing to follow the leadership of those whom Camp Bighorn and the Lord has placed over them. They must be able to adjust to new situations, meet trials with patience, perform assigned duties willingly and demonstrate humility, tact, and wisdom in their relationships with others.
Raise Financial Support
Volunteers are responsible for raising funds for their missionary work by presenting their needs to churches, church groups, and individuals.
Protect Camper Safety
It is important that we create a safe environment for our campers, an environment that protects those you serve from abuse. All volunteers 18 years or older will be required to complete a background consent form.

Please communicate with the front office if needing a few days of grace during the Staff Training schedule.
It was a place where you could just open up and you wouldn't be made fun of or mocked. The environment at Bighorn was something I haven't found anywhere else, and it was amazing.
I was in an environment were other people have the same desire and love to serve the lord. Anyone can thrive and you can truly feel that anything the Lord puts in your heart is possible.
Thank you, for allowing me to have this experience. I really needed it to mature in Christ. You’ve given me so much more than you know, and I just want thank you.
