a glance at some of the happenings of 2022
Journey traveled to Costa Rica for a cultural exchange trip. Staying in local churches, they led language exchange classes in schools, served the churches through youth group and projects, practiced Spanish, expanded their worldview through visiting another country, and learned more about their relationships with God while being outside their comfort zones.
Wild Child (year 2) had 48 kids and four awesome weeks of adventuring outside. Journey students also interned under our staff for this program. This is one of our most talked about programs locally!
Journey 2021-2022 Graduation
|Day Camp Kindness Outfitters had 80+ kids from grades K-4th learning about how to guide others in kindness.|
For summer camps, we hosted multiple youth groups, family camps, and local kids and youth. It was our first full summer after COVID, and it was good to be back at full capacity.
YoungLife celebrated their annual regional staff retreat with us!
The new Journey crew arrived at the end of summer, and they concluded their first semester with a 21-day backpacking leadership trip. What a life-changing accomplishment!
|This fall, we completed two big building projects--a new staff lounge and a climbing wall. Eventually, we will host rock climbing nights for local youth.|
