The First Three Weeks

We are already a few weeks into summer camps! After summer staff training, we began with Day Camp--our offering for the local community kids grades kindergarten to fourth grade. Our theme was Kindness Outfitters; and in addition to adventure events, they learned more about how to be kind to others and to guide others in kindness. The next week was Junior (grades 5th-6th) and Middle School (grades 7th-9th) camps, They spent the week learning about who they are in Christ. Our summer staff were facilitators for both weeks, and they had a good start to learning how to love on kids here at camp!

The third week was full of variety. We hosted a family camp for a family that's been coming for the past three years. Our full-time staff enjoy serving familiar faces. We also took the Flathead Boys and Girls Club backpacking on the State Line Trail. Lastly, many of our summer staff were able to focus on more adventure and leadership training through either rock climbing at Stonehill or kayaking here on the Clark Fork and Flathead rivers.

Summer is off to a great start, and we have many more weeks of camp ahead of us! Thank you for your prayers as we seek to embody the love of Jesus and develop Christ-honoring leaders.
