March 2023
Wild Child
Our third year of Wild Child is well underway. We have 40 kids from our local community attending for four Fridays in March and April. These kids are a mix of 3rd-6th grade boys and girls and are divided into five different "teams." Each team is led by a staff member and a Journey student intern. Over the four weeks, the kids will focus on four main outdoor skills: fire-building, identifying basic river features, shelter-building, and hiking. In addition to learning skills and playing outside, our goal is to show these kids the love of Jesus and create an environment where they can be themselves. As a staff, we are always excited to see our local kids here at Camp Bighorn! Check out some pictures below:
Thank you for donating to our year-end ask! We are so grateful for the generous donors who have partnered alongside us. We are happy to share that we reached our goal of $30,000! Thank you also for those who prayed and made our need known. |
Journey's Happenings
Journey is on the home stretch, as they only have a few weeks remaining before graduation in April! Since returning from Costa Rica, they have been interning with Wild Child, learning outdoor survival skills from a Marine, and backcountry skiing. We are looking forward to celebrating all that God has done in their lives at their graduation.
When you think of us, please pray for:
- the final weeks of Wild Child
- Summer preparations and volunteers
- the final few weeks of Journey
