Grand Canyon/L.A.
At the end of January, Journey headed out on a two week trip combining outdoor adventure and stateside missions. First, they loaded up in a van and drove all the way to Arizona. For several days, they backpacked the Grand Canyon in two different "teams". This trip focused on outdoor leadership skills as well as personal development. Additionally, it's a trip of a lifetime! After hiking out of the canyon, they drove over to L.A. Partnering with a local missionary, they spent a week learning about and serving people experiencing homelessness. Los Angeles has a huge percentage of people experiencing homelessness, and this trip taught Journey students how they can minister to the needy within our own nation. After the week, they once again loaded up the vans and drove back to Bighorn. Check out pictures from their trip below!
