Why I am here
Why I am here
Camp Bighorn has always been a place of challenge, adventure, and discovery. Working here is a way I can use my giftings to enable others to do the same. I am passionate about fulfilling and carrying out the mission and vision of Bighorn!
Background
With Pacific Northwest roots, Brian was a pastor’s kid, growing up in the church. Loving the outdoors and sports, he enrolled in Prairie Bible College’s Explore program his freshman year. At the time, this program partnered with Camp Bighorn where he learned how to lead others in adventures well. After college, he returned home to be a youth pastor for three years, discovering he loved ministering to at-risk youth. Then he transitioned to leading international mission trips and a gap year school with Reign Ministries for nine years alongside his wife Beth. Fourteen years after his freshman year at Camp Bighorn, he returned as the Executive Director. He enjoys using experiential education and wilderness settings to better understand the world, individuals, and Jesus’ story. You can find him running around camp, assisting where needed with a huge smile and a contagious energy!
