Why We're Here
We have a passion for discipling students, helping others experience God through nature, and international missions (combined we’ve traveled to 17 countries). We are excited about the way that camp combines outdoor adventure and discipleship to create opportunities for people to learn more about God and themselves.Give to the Cedarleafs
Andrew grew up in southern Oregon with a love for the outdoors and adventure. Through Boy Scouts, he gained skills in rock climbing, camping, and map and compass navigation. As staff with a gap year program, Andrew gained experience leading stateside and international missions trips, as well as various adventure trips, including backpacking in the Grand Canyon.
Bekah grew up in Illinois, and has always enjoyed camping, running and reading copious amounts of books. Sensing God's calling into ministry, she participated in a number of international mission trips after graduating high school and completed an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with the idea of teaching overseas. God had other plans, however, and directed her to full-time ministry within the US.
Bekah and Andrew joined staff with Camp Bighorn in October 2018.
Administration and Finance Director
My experience in planning wilderness trips and co-leading international missions trips has grown my skills in organization, logistics, and working with a wide variety of people. These strengths have been a huge benefit as I now manage and oversee the administrative details at Camp Bighorn.
I lead and care for the team responsible for accounting, donor management, registration, reception, office management, IT, and media.
One of my hidden talents: I am really good at playing limbo.
Through serving as an admin for a missions organization, leading students on international trips, and serving as staff at a gap year school, I discovered my passion for walking alongside others as they discover more about themselves and the Lord. I previously worked in a Mobilization role outside of Camp Bighorn, and absolutely love discipling others through the process of support raising, seeing their trust in and reliance on God grow exponentially.
I focus on the health and sustainability of our staff team, including interviewing and hiring, support raising training and coaching, and staff care.
I have a twin sister who is three minutes older than me.
We met in 2014 while both leading teams to Burkina Faso, and were married in 2017.
