Why I am here
God created humanity with a purpose of being in relationship with Him and others. I want to actively participate in building community for myself and everyone around me. Bighorn is a place where I can do this!
Background
Olivia grew up in Colorado near the mountains where the sun shines 300 days a year! Her dad, an avid outdoor enthusiast, taught her many outdoor activities, such as skiing, hiking, and biking. She still loves to go for a drive with friends to a remote spot to enjoy community and nature. Although she was raised in a Christian home, she truly began a relationship with God while on a mission trip to Peru. She cried out to God in a moment of desperation, and He answered. In her early twenties, a mutual friend told Olivia about Bighon’s Journey program. Intrigued, Olivia applied to be an intern, even though she knew very little about the program. After serving as a Journey intern for a year, she decided Bighorn was the right place for her to use her gifts of organizing, developing relationships, and pointing others towards Christ.
Journey Administration and Discipleship Coordinator
Responsibilities
I coordinate the administrative tasks for Journey, as well as communicate with parents and students. I also assist with the spiritual development of Journey students and implement spiritual growth opportunities.
Fun Fact
Sandwiches are my favorite food because they are so diverse.
