WHY I'M HERE
During my experiences at Camp Bighorn as a guest, I recognized the community among staff members to be strong and Christ-centered, which was something I desired and wanted to be a part of. I am excited to be using my God-given strengths to further the work already being done.Give to Michal
Michal grew up in Monroe, Washington nestled between the Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains. She loved living in a place that is always green regardless of the season. Ever since Michal was a small child, she has had a deep passion for art. People and landscapes are her favorite to paint. She also enjoys baking, reading, hiking, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities! Michal first heard about Bighorn when her church brought their middle-school students for summer camp. She spent two summers as a volunteer leader with her church's group, which is how she also learned about Journey. Michal signed up for Journey just two weeks before the program began! She quickly fell in love with life at camp and returned to intern in the kitchen for the summer of 2021. During her summer in the kitchen, she decided to apply for full-time staff.
