Background

Michael and Rachel have a long history of discipling young people. Over the past 20 years, they have been very involved in camp ministries and now bring a long list of experiences to the ministry here at Camp Bighorn. Michael previously worked as a pastor, builder, construction trades teacher, coach, and school bus driver. Rachel's educational background in youth ministry equipped her for both church and camp ministries, while her vocational experiences the past 20 years developed her office administration and human resource skills.

They value investing in family time while living healthy, balanced lives.

Operations Director

The Operations Director oversees and supports the teams which manage the grounds, facilities, and shop areas at camp. Leading in these areas includes planning, prioritizing, coordinating, implementing, and problem-solving when it comes to maintenance, repairs, and new construction at Camp.

Rachel Chenoweth

Administrative Director

The Administrative Director oversees the day-to-day operations within the main office, coordinating with Bighorn's Executive Director, Communications Coordinator, Guest Services Coordinator, and Registrar to ensure all campers and retreat groups are well received. The Administrative Director looks for ways to solve problems and improve the team's efficiency while remaining relational with staff and guests.

Fun Fact

I love trail running and hiking and have coached High School distance runners since 2005.

Family

Rachel and I met while serving in children's and youth ministry together. We were married shortly after and now have two boys, Kalen and Levi, who are an incredible blessings from the Lord. "... But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15b
